Mildred Janette "Milly" Holtzman, 90, of Mercersburg, Pa., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012, at her home.

Born Jan. 16, 1922, in Clear Spring, Md., she was the daughter of the late Francis Ridenour Snyder and Myrtle Trumpower Snyder.

She was a 1941 graduate of Clear Spring High School. In previous years, she was employed with Fairchild Industries for 19 years, and retired from Mack Trucks in Hagerstown after 27 years.

Milly was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Clear Spring and attended Clayton Memorial Church of God in Mercersburg.

She was a lifetime member of the Clear Spring Ambulance Club, where she served as the treasurer for many years.

Milly is survived by one daughter, Daryl Lynn Hunsberger of Mercersburg; two sisters, Virginia Pauline Barnes and Ruby Louise Miller, both of Williamsport; one grandson, Daryl Hunsberger of Mercersburg; and one great-granddaughter, Cheyenne Hunsberger.

She was preceded in death by four sisters, Dorothy Luray Shupp, Betty Jane Meyers, Naomi Rozelia Bast and Thelma Marie Snyder; and two brothers, Richard Francis and Guy Edward Snyder.

It was her wish to be cremated. A celebration of her life will be held at the convenience of her family.

Milly and Lynn’s family want to express their sincere appreciation to Lori Stewart, Arlene Roles, Stephanie Toms and the Lutheran Home Care and Hospice organization for all their love and care.
