Hagerstown man injured when vehicle hits tree in Pa.

GREENCASTLE, Pa. — A Hagerstown man was injured when the vehicle he was driving struck a tree Sunday night in Antrim Township, Pennsylvania State Police said.

Anthony M. Woodward, 23, was taken to Meritus Medical Center east of Hagerstown to be treated for his injuries, according to a state police news release.

Meritus Medical Center does not release the conditions of patients to the media.

Troopers said Woodward was driving a 1997 Saturn SL2 south on Leitersburg Road shortly before 9 p.m., when he lost control of the vehicle and it struck a tree.

Woodward was taken to the hospital by Greencastle EMS.
