W.Va. woman arraigned on drug charge

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — A Falling Waters, W.Va., woman accused of dealing heroin was arraigned Monday in Berkeley County Magistrate Court, months after police seized about 14 grams of the drug and more than $4,000 from her residence, according to court records.

Jennifer Nicole Billings, 19, of 77 Alamo Lane, was charged in a warrant last month with one felony count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, according to court documents.

Billings was arraigned on the charge Monday by Berkeley County Magistrate Joan V. Bragg, who set a $5,000 bond for the defendant, according to court documents.

Berkeley County Sheriff’s deputies seized cash and heroin on Jan. 13 while searching her home, according to court documents.

The cash and some of the heroin were found in a locked safe in one room of the residence and drug evidence also was found on the floor of a bedroom, according to complaint filed in court by Berkeley County Sheriff’s Deputy Sgt. T.M. Snyder.
