1. Grapes for Girls

A wine-tasting event to benefit Girls Inc. of Washington County. Wine tasting and an international beer garden, plus jazz singer Kerensa Gray Jazz. Lou Scally will emcee. Silent auction. 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at Cortland Mansion, 19411 Cortland Drive, Hagerstown. $100 per person. 2. Metal artist opens show

3. Grave situation

4. Steam engines

Smithsburg Steam and Craft Show features antique tractors, steam traction engines, craft vendors, a flea market and food. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, and Sunday, Sept. 30. 5. Hike near Woodmont

The Maryland Park Service will host a guided 3.5-mile hike of the Woodmont Natural Resources Management Area. Rain or shine. 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30. Meet at the first hunter access parking lot off of Woodmont Road. Call 301-842-2155.
