Jefferson hospital announces employee jewel award winners

RANSON, W.Va. — West Virginia University Hospitals-East’s Jefferson Memorial Hospital recently announced its employee Jewel Award winners for September 2012.

The Ruby Award was presented to Natasha Cortez-Caja, laboratory manager. The award represents richness and warmth in the delivery of care. Recipients demonstrate a willingness to assist patients, staff and others with knowledge and experience; and are open to new ideas and ways of providing exceptional service. 

The Diamond Award was presented to Sandy Martin, RN, OB nurse manager and EPIC implementation specialist. The award represents the ability to withstand great pressure and temperature. Recipients display brilliant qualities and are appreciated for their fine characteristics.
