Monday meeting to be held to discuss potential dog park in Hagerstown

The public is invited to a meeting Monday to discuss a potential dog park in the Hagerstown, according to a city news release.

City staff from the Department of Parks and Engineering will hold the 7 p.m. meeting in the council chamber at City Hall, city spokeswoman Erin Wolfe said.

Wolfe said the purpose of the meeting is share ideas, gauge support for a dog park in the city and obtain commitments from potential users. Staff also will seek feedback on a park concept plan, she said.

City Engineer Rodney Tissue recently presented the Hagerstown City Council with an idea for a dog park at Hager Park, near the corner of East Memorial Boulevard and South Frederick Street.
