"The Anvil: The Trial of John Brown"  will be performed at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept.  21, and Saturday, Sept. 22; 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, at The Charles Town Courthouse, 100 E. Washington St., Charles Town, W.Va. Julia Davis' play of John Brown's trial will be presented at the site of the actual trial. 2. Rockin' out with The Reagan Years

Discovery Station HangarFest will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at Rider Jet Center, Hagerstown Regional Airport, 18539 Henson Blvd., north of Hagerstown. Dinner catered by Hager Hall. 3. It's time for magic

A magic show will be at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at Hancock Performing Arts Center, 126 W. High St., Hancock. The show will feature magicians Khan-Du & Company, Dean Burkett, The Magic of Michael T., Dale Rabon and The Illusions of Frank Culler and Culler Magic. 4. September shuffling

A Taste of Autumn Dance will be from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at Maugansville Ruritan, 18007 Maugans Ave., Maugansville. The dance is hosted by Country Western Dance Association. Line dancing for singles and couples. $7; $5, members. Email tdavis1856@yahoo.com.


5. Mighty fun

Mighty Mo hot-rod and muscle car show and open house will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, and Sunday, Sept. 23,  at Antietam Gallery, 17320 Shepherdstown Pike, Sharpsburg. The original Mighty Mo burger and the Teen Twist sandwich, hot fudge cake and orange freeze from Hot Shoppes menu will be served. Elvis impersonator at noon Saturday and Sunday.
