Suspect sought in attempted kidnapping
SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. — Pennsylvania State Police were searching Tuesday for a man who allegedly tried to kidnap a woman Monday evening on Roxbury Road in Southampton Township, Pa.
The incident occurred in the 400 block of Roxbury Road at about 6:45 p.m., when a man stopped his vehicle and asked a 20-year-old woman if she wanted a ride, according to a news release from state police.
Troopers said the woman declined the ride. The man drove a short distance, got out of the vehicle and started to chase her.
The man tried to drag the woman into the vehicle, police said, but after a brief struggle, he released the woman and drove away.
Troopers said the man was described as a white male in his 30s, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, with short brown hair and a heavy build. He was wearing a blue shirt and sunglasses with orange lenses.
Police said the vehicle was red. The make and model were not known.

Doors damaged at Pa. home during burglary
GREENCASTLE, Pa. — Burglars caused $320 in damage to two doors when they broke into a house Monday on Coseytown Road in Antrim Township, Pennsylvania State Police said.
The incident occurred shortly before 6 p.m. at 4395 Coseytown Road, according to a news release from state police.
Troopers said the burglars entered through a garage door and stole $30 from a bedroom.

Deputies respond to calls about stolen vehicle, theft
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents from 8 a.m. Monday to 8 a.m. Tuesday:
 •A stolen vehicle in the 17700 block of Timber Lane
 •A theft in the 100 block of East Main Street
