HAGERSTOWN — A Boonsboro man has been indicted in the death of a Waynesboro, Pa., man in a July traffic accident on Md. 66.

A Washington County grand jury last week indicted Bryan May, 44, of 103 Tiger Way, in the death of 28-year-old Bradley Christman.

The grand jury indicted May on charges of negligent manslaughter by vehicle, criminal negligent manslaughter by vehicle and negligent homicide by vehicle while under the influence, according to court documents.

He also was charged with negligent homicide by vehicle while impaired, reckless driving, negligent driving, failure to drive right of center, driving or attempting to drive a vehicle while impaired by alcohol and driving under the influence, documents state.

The crash occurred on the evening of July 26, when the 2004 Dodge Ram that May was driving on Mapleville Road went left of center and collided with a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Christman, Maryland State Police said.

Christman died of his injuries.

May was taken to Meritus Medical Center east of Hagerstown with injuries that were not life-threatening.

May was in Washington County Circuit Court on Tuesday for a bond hearing before Circuit Judge M. Kenneth Long Jr., who set May’s bail at $5,000. May posted bail a short time later.
