Hawks' attack does job in win over Potomac State

KEYSER, W.Va. — Hagerstown Community College showcased a balanced attack in a 25-14, 25-21, 17-25, 25-12 victory over Potomac State on the road Monday night.

Emma Stahl led the way with 15 kills and 12 digs, Elise Manning had 13 kills and four blocks, and Callie Butts added 13 kills for the Hawks (7-1). Paige Kitchen finished with 42 assists and Tiffany Rohrer made 19 digs.


Hyndman 3, Hancock 0

HYNDMAN, Pa. — Kara McKinley had eight assists and four kills for Hancock, but the Panthers suffered their first loss of the season, falling to Hyndman 25-16, 26-24, 25-9.

Joan Leavy had three kills and two blocks, Elizabeth Teeter had two blocks and two aces, and Jessica Martin added six digs for the Panthers (4-1).

Shalom Christian 3, Broadfording 0

MARION, Pa. — Tori Yoder had 12 kills and 21 digs to lead Shalom Christian to a 25-18, 25-9, 25-15 Mason Dixon Christian Conference victory over Broadfording.

Kristen Blank had 15 assists and nine digs, and Brooke Poe also had nine digs for the Flames (5-4, 4-4).

Sarah Couch had four kills and six digs for Broadfording (0-7, 0-7). Kierra White had six assists, Jade Boone had three kills and four digs, and Sierra Hornick added two aces and four digs.

Emmanuel Christian 3, Fulton Co. Christian 2

NEEDMORE, Pa. — Hannah Beddow had 11 service points and eight assists for Fulton County Community Christian in a five-set loss.

Jenae Gordon had seven kills and Rachel Weibly added eight service points for FCCCS.


Berkeley Springs 12, Keyser 3

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. — Zach Wise had five goals and two assists, and Jared Levi added four goals and two assists as Berkeley Springs beat Keyser.

Tristan Poe had a goal and an assist, Cain Ooten and Landon Orndorff added a goal each, Brandon McCumbee had three assists and Jake Truax added an assist for the Indians (5-6).

* On Saturday, Berkeley Springs lost to Phillip Barbour 3-1. Ooten scored on Levi’s assist for the Indians.

Alyssa Hamilton made 13 saves for the Maidens.
