FOP awards criminal justice scholarships

The Fraternal Order of Police-Thomas Pangborn Lodge No. 88 in Hagerstown, recently announced the recipients of its 2012-13 criminal justice scholarships.

The winners are:

Ryan Lee Butts, the son of Susie and Randy Butts, is a 2012 Williamsport High School graduate. He is beginning his first year of college as a criminology/criminal justice major at Davis and Elkins College in West Virginia.

Jeffery M. Moats, the son of Michael Moats and Ruth and Michael McCauley, is a 2011 Clear Spring High School graduate. He is in his second year as a criminal justice major at Hagerstown Community College.

In addition, the lodge awarded a one-time, one-semester scholarship to the following:

Kaitlin Ridenour, the daughter of  Bobby and Sandra Ridenour, is a North Hagerstown High School graduate. 

She is in her senior year at University of Maryland University College (Hagerstown campus), and will graduate in December with a degree in criminal justice and a minor in forensics. 


Kaitlin had been awarded a scholarship under the previous scholarship guidelines and was grandfathered into the new process so she could finish her college studies.
