Md. man hurt in U.S. 30 crash
McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. — A Poolesville, Md., man was flown to the hospital after he crashed his motorcycle Sunday morning on U.S. 30 in Ayr Township, Pa., Pennsylvania State Police said.
Daniel L. Galloway, 59, was taken to Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, according to a news release from Pennsylvania State Police.
A hospital spokeswoman said Monday that Galloway was not listed as a patient.
Troopers said Galloway was riding a 1999 Yamaha west on U.S. 30 at about 11 a.m. Sunday when the motorcycle left the roadway and slid in some loose gravel.
The motorcycle came to rest against an embankment, police said.
Galloway was charged with failure to drive at a safe speed, according to the release.

Incidents reported in Washington County
The following incidents were reported by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office from 8 a.m. Monday to 8 a.m. Tuesday:
 A burglary in the 21500 block of Mount Aetna Road.
 A burglary in the 100 block of East Baltimore Street in Funkstown.
 Vandalism in the 13200 block of Fountainhead Plaza.
 A theft in the 13700 block of Village Mill Drive.
 A theft in the 200 block of East Oak Ridge Drive.
The following incidents reported by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office occurred between 8 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday:
 Vandalism in the 7800 block of Fairplay Road in Fairplay.
 Vandalism in the 7200 block of Tommytown Road in Sharpsburg.
 Vandalism in the 19300 block of Jamestown Drive.
 Vandalism in the 100 block of Cedar Ridge Road in Williamsport.
 Vandalism in the 11900 block of Cheryl Drive.
 A theft in the 400 block of Antietam Drive.
 A theft in the 22400 block of Cave Hill Road.
 A theft in the 11000 block of Rosewood Drive.
 A theft in the 17100 block of Cole Road.
 A theft from a vehicle in the 17200 block of Gay Street.

Storage unit robbed
McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. — Pennsylvania State Police were searching for two men who robbed a storage unit Monday night in Ayr Township, Pa.
The incident happened at 7:05 p.m., when a witness said he saw two men break in to a storage unit at Great Cove Storage on Pa. 522, according to a state police news release. The men stole a 12-inch mitre saw and a Black & Decker table saw before they fled in a silver Pontiac sedan with Maryland plates.
Troopers said both robbers were white. One of the men was about 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a blue shirt, shorts and sneakers.
The second man was about 6 feet tall, according to the release. He had a heavy build and cropped hair. He was wearing a red tank top, shorts, white sneakers and had a tattoo sleeve on his left arm.
