Fall bargain sale set for Sept. 28-29

The Women’s Club at 31 S. Prospect St. in Hagerstown will hold its annual fall bargain sale Friday, Sept. 28, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Saturday, Sept., 29, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Gently used clothing, household merchandise, shoes and jewelry will be available for purchase.

The club provides low-cost housing for women in the community and a place for its members to enjoy social activities.

Mount Zion Church to host concert

Mount Zion Church at 14336 Greencastle Pike in Cearfoss will host a concert by Guilford Station Bluegrass Gospel Band Sunday at 2 p.m.

Refreshments will be served and a goodwill offering will be collected for the group during a short intermission.

A basket will be placed in the front of the church for those who wish to contribute to the cemetery maintenance fund. The community is invited.

Washington Square UM Church youth group

Those ages 12 to 18 are invited to join the Stepping Stones Youth Group at Washington Square United Methodist Church, 538 Washington Ave. in Hagerstown. The group meets every Friday at 7 p.m. for fellowship, games and light refreshments. Parking and the entrance are in the rear of the church.

Hagerstown Day Nursery to present Elvis tribute

Hagerstown Day Nursery will present an Elvis tribute performed by Kevin Booth Friday at the Elks Lodge on Robinwood Drive.

The doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the show will begin at 7.
