Clara Luana Ridenour Bussard, 79, of Maugansville, Md., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012, at her home.

She was born Nov. 5, 1932, to the late H. Paul Ridenour and Ruth C. Kendle Ridenour.

She attended schools at Winter Street and West Washington Street.

She worked at The Salvation Army for many years, until she retired. Previously, she was employed by Fahrney-Keedy Nursing Home and Brandt Cabinet Works Inc. for 18 years.

She was married to the late Warren R. (Dick) Bussard.

She is survived by two daughters, Rose M. Williams of Hagerstown, Md., and Wendy W. Churchey and her husband, Paul, of Maugansville, with whom she resided; three sons, Robert M. Williams and his wife, Sue, of Manassas, Va., John D. Bussard and his wife, Traci, of Chesapeake, Va., and Gary Jordon of Hagerstown; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Barbara L. Little and husband, Fran, of Williamsport, Md., Sylvia R. Hager (her husband was the late Harry Hager)  of Cearfoss, Md., and Claudia M. Crumbling of North Carolina; two brothers, Rusty R. Ridenour of Kentucky and Darby A. Ridenour, and wife, Joleen, of Bunker Hill, W.Va.; and her companion, Kane.

She was preceded in death by a son (a twin), at birth; a son-in-law, Gary W. Grubb Sr.; a daughter, Ruth Ann Grubb; a grandson, Demond L. Williams Sr.; and a brother, Howard P. "Sonny" Ridenour.

There will be no viewing. A graveside service will be at Quantico National Cemetery in Quantico, Va. John D. Bussard will officiate.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in their mother's name, Luana Bussard, to The Salvation Army, 534 W. Franklin St., Hagerstown, MD 21740 or to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742.

Arrangements are by Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown.
