Pa. state police investigate robbery of storage unit

Pennsylvania State Police were searching for two men who robbed a storage unit Monday night in Ayr Township, Pa.

The incident happened at 7:05 p.m., when a witness said he saw two men break in to a storage unit at Great Cove Storage on Pa. 522, according to a state police news release. The men stole a 12-inch mitre saw and a Black & Decker table saw before they fled in a silver Pontiac sedan with Maryland plates.

Troopers said both robbers were white. One of the men was about 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a blue shirt, shorts and sneakers.

The second man was about 6 feet tall, according to the release. He had a heavy build and cropped hair. He was wearing a red tank top, shorts, white sneakers and had a tattoo sleeve on his left arm.

Pa. man charged in assault case

A Greene Township, Pa., man has been charged with assaulting another man Sunday night, Pennsylvania State Police said.

Dontay Desmon Russ, 20, was charged with harassment and criminal mischief, according to a state police news release.

Troopers said the incident occurred at about 9 p.m. on West Main Street in Greene Township, where Russ allegedly assaulted the other man on the roadway, then damaged the victim’s car door.
