Morning MoJo report - Sept. 10

Here is the Morning Mojo Report for Monday, Sept. 10:

  • As of 7:30 a.m., traffic is a little sluggish on I-495 in both directions and I-270 southbound, but it is running fine on all the other interstates throughout the area.
  • On the MARC Train, Brunswick Train 876 (Departing Brunswick at 6:40 a.m.) is operating 10 to 12 minutes late, according to the Maryland Transit Administration website, mta.maryland.gov.
  • Outside of the MARC Train, the Metro Subway, Commuter Buses, and Local Bus Services are all running on time, according to the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) website, mta.maryland.gov.
  • The weather today is expected to be sunny with a high near 76 degrees and wind between 9 and 14 miles per hour (mph). Tonight it is supposed to be clear with a low around 49 degrees and wind between 3 and 5 mph.
  • Work to improve U.S. Alternate 40 and Poffenberger Road is underway, and Poffenberger Road is closed between Garis Shop Road and Sharpsburg Pike (Md. 65). U.S. Alternate 40 may be reduced to one lane at times. Workers are assisting traffic there when needed.
