September 10, 2012

A Poolesville, Md., man was flown to the hospital after he crashed his motorcycle Sunday morning on U.S. 30 in Ayr Township, Pa., Pennsylvania State Police said.

Daniel L. Galloway, 59, was taken to Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, according to a news release from Pennsylvania State Police.

A hospital spokeswoman said Monday that Galloway was not listed as a patient.

Troopers said Galloway was riding a 1999 Yamaha west on U.S. 30 at about 11 a.m. Sunday when the motorcycle left the roadway and slid in some loose gravel. The motorcycle came to rest against an embankment.

Galloway was charged with failure to drive at a safe speed, according to the release.
