Thunder Over the Blue Ridge will be Saturday, Sept. 15, and Sunday, Sept. 16, at Eastern West Virginia Regional Airport,  Martinsburg, W.Va. The 167th Airlift Wing hosts open house and air show. Parking lot opens at 7:30 p.m. General parking shuttle at 8:30 a.m. Gates open at 9 a.m. Free, but $10 per person donation to United Way of the Eastern Panhandle is encouraged. 2. Harkening back to music gone by

3. Battle of Harpers Ferry

The 150th anniversary of the 1862 Battle of Harpers Ferry will be on Thursday, Sept. 13, through Sunday, Sept. 16, at Harpers Ferry National Historical Park, off U.S. 340, Harpers Ferry, W.Va.Activities include ranger talks, period music and theater, hikes, lecture, authors and more.
