PITTSBURGH  — Megan Micco of Clear Spring was named to the dean’s list for the fall and spring semesters at Duquesne University.

She is  a freshman in the McAnulty College of Liberal Arts.

Megan is pursuing a bachelor of science degree in political science. 

During the fall semester, Megan will study abroad at Duquesne’s Italian campus in Rome, Italy.

Megan is a 2011 graduate of Clear Spring High School. 

She is the daughter of Jim and Robin Micco of Clear Spring.

Kyle A. Zittle of Hagerstown was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester in the A. James Clark School of Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park.

He is the son of Terry and Linda Zittle, and grandson of Harry and Shirley Andrews.

ASHLAND, Ohio — The following area students are members of the Ashland University football team:

Mike McMillan of Hagerstown is majoring in sports management.


He is the son of Judy Stone of Hagerstown.

McMillan is a 2008 graduate of North Hagerstown High School.

Christian Wilson of New Market, Md., is majoring in political science.

Wilson is a 2010 graduate of New Life Christian School.

CLEMSON, S.C. — Megan Louise Barkdoll of Greencastle, Pa., graduated from Clemson University Aug. 10 with a Master of Science in youth development leadership.

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. — William Thomas Lauffer of Shepherdstown, W.Va., was recently awarded a Bachelor of Science in cell and molecular biology from the Harpur College of Arts and Sciences at Binghamton University.

SAVANNAH, Ga. — The following area students recently graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design:

Courtney Wirth of Frederick, Md., Bachelor of Fine Arts in illustration design

Anna Tringali of Frederick, Bachelor of Fine Arts in production design

VALDOSTA, Ga. — Leslee Sophia Bry of Frederick, Md., recently graduated from Valdosta State University with a Master of Science in marriage and family therapy.
