Mrs. Miriam Virginia Bingaman Poole, 81, of Greencastle, Pa., died Friday morning, Sept. 7, 2012, at Providence Place in Chambersburg, Pa.

She was the wife of the late Robert Anthony Poole, who preceded her in death in 1993.

Born Dec. 20, 1930, in Welsh Run, Pa., she was one of 13 children of the late George Andrew and Mary Grace Rice Bingaman.

She owned and operated Poole's Beauty Salon in Greencastle until passing the business to her daughter in 1977.

Mrs. Poole was a member of Cedar Grove Mennonite Church in Greencastle. She enjoyed playing games, especially dominoes.

Surviving are her children, Robert L. Poole and wife, Ruth, of Greencastle, and Beverly K. Poole Coyle and husband, William, of Cascade; grandchildren, Billy Coyle and wife, Rachel, of Blue Ridge Summit, Pa., Robert Poole of Greencastle, Brittany Sprecher and husband, Jeff, of Waynesboro, Pa., Bailey Poole of Greencastle, and Bethany Coyle of Cascade; her great-grandson, Ryder Coyle; her siblings, Thelma G. Starliper of Mercersburg, Pa., Elizabeth M. Sharon, George R. Bingaman and Doris E. Barnhart, all of Chambersburg, Raymond E. Bingaman of Delra, W.Va., Janet L. Helman of Chambersburg, Leonard E. Bingaman of Hustontown, Pa., and Maxine C. Walker of Chambersburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Cora I. Mills, Paul E. and Charles V. Bingaman, and Helen L. Myers.

Harold M. Zimmerman & Son Funeral Home, Greencastle, is handling the arrangements. There will not be visitation at the funeral home. The family will receive friends at her church, Cedar Grove Mennonite Church, 13343 Williamsport Pike, Greencastle, Wednesday, Sept. 12, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the church service at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Stephen P. Fretz will officiate. Interment will follow in the churchyard.
