Pancake breakfast

Wilson Ruritan will hold an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast Saturday, starting at 6:30 a.m.

Wilson Ruritan is on U.S. 40, just west of Huyetts Crossroads. 

The menu includes pancakes with one serving of puddin’ or sausage or sausage gravy, coffee and orange juice. The breakfast costs $4.50.
The first butchering of the season will be Saturday, Oct. 13.

Class of 1972 reunion

The Clear Spring High School Class of 1972 will celebrate its 40th reunion Saturday at Plumb Grove Mansion, 12654 Broadfording Road in Clear Spring.

The event will be held rain or shine. 

 The event will include a catered meal. The meal will cost $15 per person. The class will gather at 2 p.m. and eat at 4 p.m.

Class of 1957

 The Clear Spring High School Class of 1957 will hold its 55-year reunion Saturday at the Clear Spring American Legion building starting at 5 p.m.

All class members and spouses are encouraged to attend.

Several teachers and former principals will attend. A buffet-style dinner is planned, as well as other activities.

Did you know?

Did you know that if the Old National Pike could talk, it might have some very interesting stories? Several presidents of the United States traveled on it to Clear Spring and on to Camp Harding. Many plush stagecoaches, freight wagons, covered wagons carrying families, and farmers driving their cattle and pigs used the old road.
