Laura V. Brant, 78, of Cedar Ridge Road, Williamsport, Md., and a resident of Golden Living Center, Hagerstown, passed away Saturday Sept. 1, 2012, at the center.

Born March 23, 1934, in Mount Savage, Md., she was the daughter of the late Thomas F. Imes Sr. and Viola R. Gordon Imes.

She attended Mooresville Church of God and was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting.

She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 60 years, Ernest Ray Brant of Williamsport; a daughter, Connie Sue Berry and husband, Alan, of Clear Spring; a son, James Ernest Brant and wife, Linda, of Hagerstown; three sisters, Blanche Shaner of Ellerslie, Md., Mary Liller of Cumberland, Md., and Sally Cutter of Frostburg, Md.; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Florence Dalton; a brother, Thomas F. Imes Jr.; and four infant siblings.

Services will be Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at Donald Edwin Thompson Funeral Home Inc., 13607 National Pike, Clear Spring. The Rev. Richard Fox will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in Hagerstown, Md.

The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home Inc. on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. For the convenience of friends, you may visit the funeral home after noon Tuesday.
