Library concert to feature Terry and Tobias Sept. 9

The Washington County Free Library Noteworthy Sundays at Your Library concert on Sunday, Sept. 9, will feature Terry and Tobias.

The concert starts at 3 p.m. and will be held at the Leonard P. Snyder Memorial Branch Library at 12624 Broadfording Road, Clear Spring.

Terry Gourley is a singer-songwriter from Baltimore. She sings from the heart, singing everything  from rock ’n’ roll to ballads, as well as some pop songs.

Gourley is accompanied by acoustic guitarist Tobias Hurwitz, whose blend of classic rock covers and originals is a crowd pleaser.

Gourley has been singing all her life and playing the guitar since 1982. Gourley began writing her own songs. She is influenced by Eva Cassidy and the Indigo Girls.

Hurwitz is an award-winning guitarist who has authored 14 published guitar books.

Terry and Tobias each have individual music recordings available on iTunes and also the “Dreamer” CD, which is a collaboration of both artists.

The event is sponsored in part by the Hagerstown-Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau.
