Texas man with 10-year-old in car charged with DUI in Chambersburg

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — A Houston, Texas, man who was pulled over Sunday in Chambersburg has been charged with driving under the influence with a 10-year-old child in the vehicle, Pennsylvania State Police said.

Marlon Yovany Aplicano, 38, of 13500 Meadow Left Lane, was charged with driving under the influence and endangering the welfare of a child, according to a state police news release.

Troopers said Aplicano was pulled over at 1:10 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Stanley Avenue and Orchard Drive in Chambersburg. Police said a 10-year-old child was in the vehicle at the time of the stop.

Burglaries, thefts, vandalism reported in Washington County

The following incidents were reported by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office from 8 a.m. Tuesday to 8 a.m. Wednesday:

  • A burglary was reported in the 3500 block of Twilight Lane in Keedysville.
  • Vandalism was reported in the 200 block of Terrace Street in Hancock.
  • Vandalism was reported in the 17300 block of West Washington Street near Hagerstown.

The following incidents were reported between Monday at 8 a.m. and Tuesday at 8 a.m.:

  • A burglary was reported in the 17700 block of Broadfording Road near Hagerstown.
  • A burglary was reported in the 16700 block of Edward Doub Road in Williamsport.
  • A burglary was reported on North Conococheague Street in Williamsport.
  • A burglary was reported in the unit block of Cumberland Street in Clear Spring.
  • Vandalism was reported in the 11800 block of Linbar Road near Hagerstown.
  • Vandalism was reported in the 19900 block of Beaver Creek Road near Hagerstown.
  • A theft was reported in the 17600 block of Virginia Avenue in Halfway.
  • A theft was reported on Westfield Drive in Maugansville.
  • A theft was reported in the 11500 block of Robinwood Drive near Hagerstown.
  • A theft was reported in the 12600 block of Trinity Church Drive in Clear Spring.
  • A theft was reported on Resley Road in Hancock.
  • A theft from a vehicle was reported in the 1100 block of Lawton Lane near Hagerstown.
