Items sought for yard sale

The Chewsville Lions Club is accepting donations of resaleable items (no TVs) for its annual yard sale set for Saturday, Sept. 29, along Md. 64 (Jefferson Boulevard) near the Pools, Patios and Porches shop in Chewsville.

Local pickup of items is available.

Embroiderers guild
The Hagerstown Embroiderers Guild invites anyone with an interest in stitching to visit its chapter meetings. The group meets the last Tuesday of every month from September through April, except December.

The group meets at 7 p.m. at the Hagerstown Seventh-day Adventist Church, at 11507 Robinwood Drive.
Guests are welcome, but are asked to join after attending three meetings if they wish to participate in chapter programs.

TV pastor to appear

Pastor John Bradshaw, speaker and director of a weekly telecast program titled “It Is Written,” will visit Hagerstown Seventh-day Adventist Church, 11507 Robinwood Drive, Hagerstown, Sunday, Sept. 9, at 7 p.m.

The public is invited.

“It Is Written” is a Christian television program founded in 1956 by Pastor George Vandeman.  

For 55 years, the “It Is Written” ministry has each week explored what the Bible has to say on topics such as family issues, the meaning of life, science vs. religion and Bible prophecy.
