Madeline Elizabeth Stolte, 88, of Hagerstown, Md., died Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, at Williamsport Retirement Village in Williamsport, Md.
Born Feb. 16, 1924, in Baltimore, Md., she was the daughter of the late Leo and Carmie M. Becraft Hagan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry W. Stolte Jr.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Sharon Gildee and husband, John; one son, Harry W. Stolte III and wife, Marion; 10 grandchildren, Tammie Burzynski and husband, Ken, John Gildee IV and wife, Colleen, Eva Gildee, Denise Baire and husband, Scott, W. Keith Gildee and wife, Tisha, Kym Stancliff, Elizabeth Getz and husband, Chris, Barbara Bailone and husband, Pat, Anne McDermaid, and Frances Eisemann and husband, Brian; 22 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Wallace Hagan and Joseph Hagan.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 17630 Virginia Ave., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Christopher Moore as celebrant. Burial will be in Loudon Park Cemetery, 3620 Wilkens Ave., Baltimore, at 2:15 p.m.
