Morning MoJo report - Aug. 20

Here is the Morning MoJo Report for Monday, Aug. 20:

* As of 7 a.m., traffic was a little sluggish on I-495 in both directions, but was running smoothly on all the interstates throughout the area.

* The MARC Train, Metro Subway, Light Rail, Commuter Buses, and Local Bus Services were all running on time and operating on their regular schedules, according to the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) website, mta.maryland.gov/.

* The weather today is expected to be mostly cloudy with a high near 77 degrees, a chance of showers mainly after 11 a.m., patchy fog before 11 a.m., winds between 3 and 6 miles per hour, and a 40 percent chance of precipitation, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight, it's expected to be mostly cloudy with a low around 58 degrees, a chance of showers and thunderstorms before 10 p.m., and a 30 percent chance of precipitation.

* The Longmeadow Road-Marsh Pike intersection is still undergoing an improvement project. Workers are assisting traffic when needed at the intersection.

* Work to improve U.S. Alternate 40 and Poffenberger Road has is under way, and U.S. Alternate 40 may be reduced to one lane at times. Workers are assisting traffic there  when needed.

* The right lane of I-70 at Licking Creek, west of Big Pool, is expected to be closed Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to an emailed release from the Maryland State Highway Administration.
