Warfordsburg teen seriously injured when motorized trike crashes

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. — A 15-year-old Warfordsburg, Pa., boy who was riding as a passenger on a motorized trike suffered major injuries when the vehicle crashed into trees Sunday morning on Harmonia Road in Union Township, Pennsylvania State Police said.

The boy, whose name was not released, was thrown from the vehicle when the 16-year-old driver lost control, causing the Huzhou Daixi Trike to slam into a clump of trees shortly after midnight on Sunday, according to a state police news release.

Troopers said the driver of the vehicle suffered minor injuries.

58 bras stolen from Chambersburg Mall store

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — Pennsylvania State Police said they were looking for a thief who stole 58 bras from the Chambersburg Mall.

The thefts occurred at Victoria’s Secret between Aug. 14 and Aug. 19, according to a state police news release.

Incidents reported to Washington County Sheriff's Office


The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents from Friday at 8 a.m. to Monday at 8 a.m.:

  • A burglary was reported in the 22300 block of Cave Hill Road near Smithsburg.
  • Vandalism was reported in the 11000 block of Decker Avenue near Hagerstown.
  • A vehicle was reported stolen in the 16600 block of Tammany Manor Road in Williamsport.
  • A theft was reported in the 17900 block of Maugans Avenue.
  • A theft was reported in the 1100 block of Kuhn Avenue near Hagerstown.
  • A theft was reported in the 11300 block of Kemps Mill Road in Williamsport.
  • A theft was reported in the 16900 block of Halfway Boulevard in Halfway.
  • A theft from a motor vehicle was reported in the 11400 block of Englewood Road near Hagerstown.
