Thelma Louise "Pud" Boward, 90, of 200 E. Poplar St., Funkstown, Md., died Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, at Meritus Medical Center.

Born March 31, 1922, in Hagerstown, Md., she was the daughter of the late Albert Walter and Lula Davis Drury.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George "Hank" Boward.

She retired from Washington County Hospital after 14 1/2 years.

She was a member of Morris Frock American Legion Post 42.

She loved music, travel and books.

She is survived by one daughter, Jeannie Hendrickson and husband, Larry, of Funkstown; one grandson, Mark Guessford and wife, Michele, of Front Royal, Va.; two great-granddaughters, Jeannie Tharpe and husband, Jimmy, and Holly Kuhn and husband, Justin, all of Front Royal; great-grandson, George "Hank" Guessford and wife, Victoria, of Front Royal; great-great-granddaughters, Tasha Tharpe and Jamie "Custies" Tharpe, both of Front Royal; and one great-great-grandson, Jacob Kuhn of Front Royal.

She was preceded in death by five sisters, Helen, Cathren, Pauline, Violet and Geraldine; and one brother, Walter.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Blaine E. Feightner will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
