Morning MoJo report - Aug. 15

Here is the Morning MoJo Report for Wednesday, Aug. 15:

* As of 7 a.m., traffic was a little sluggish on I-495 in both directions, but was running smoothly on all the interstates throughout the area.

* On the MARC Train, Camden Line Trains 840 (departing Washington at 6:32 a.m.) was operating 35 to 40 minutes late due to mechanical problems,  according to the Maryland Transit Administration website, mta.maryland.gov.

* The Metro Subway, commuter buses and mobility service were running on time and operating on their regular schedules, according to the MTA website.

* The weather today is expected to be partly sunny with a high near 84 degrees, a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3 p.m., areas of dense fog before 9 a.m. and winds between 5 and 7 miles per hour, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight, it's expected to be partly cloudy with a low around 63 degrees and winds between 3 and 6 mph.

* The Longmeadow Road-Marsh Pike intersection is still undergoing an improvement project. Workers are assisting traffic when needed at the intersection.

* Work to improve U.S. Alternate 40 and Poffenberger Road has begun, and U.S. Alternate 40 may be reduced to one lane at times. Workers are assisting traffic at the intersection when needed.

* East Antietam Street is scheduled to be closed Wednesday between Renaissance Way and South Potomac Street for work on the Washington County Free Library construction site, according to a traffic advisory from the City of Hagerstown. Closure is expected to remain in effect from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
