National Health Center Week recognized at Hagerstown center

Walnut Street Community Health Center in Hagerstown and Tri-State Community Health Center in Hancock will wrap up their celebration for National Health Center Week on Saturday.

The week of Monday, Aug. 5, through Saturday, Aug. 11, was set aside to raise awareness about the mission and accomplishments of America’s health centers.

More than 1,200 health centers serve as medical homes for more than 20 million individuals at more than 8,100 locations.  Walnut Street Community Health Center provides primary care, dental and behavioral health care to 6,451 patients and Tri-State Community Health Center provides primary health care to 5,313 patients in Hancock, 7,277 in Cumberland, and 3,939 in McConnellsburg, Pa.
