Peter Burr House to hold open house on Saturday

SHENANDOAH JUNCTION, W.Va. — The Peter Burr House will host tours and a “spin-in” Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Attendees can take a free tour of the oldest wood frame house in West Virginia, built circa 1751. Refreshments will be available.

Additionally, the bread bakers of the Burr House will be baking a limited number of loaves in the outdoor bake oven to sell.

Peter Burr House is also hosting a “spin-in,” where local spinners can meet and share spinning techniques and challenges. 

The events are sponsored by Reliving History and the Jefferson County Historic Landmarks Commission.
