Power outage closes Berkeley County Judicial Center

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — A power outage prompted officials to close the Berkeley County Judicial Center Wednesday afternoon and other county office buildings in Martinsburg.A burned switch on the Berkeley Heights feeder caused the outage, which happened at 2:19 p.m., according to Potomac Edison spokesperson Charlene Gilliam.Gilliam said power was restored less than 30 minutes later, but one county official said his office in the Dunn building along West Stephen Street was still without power more than hour after outage was reported.
