Larry Eugene Souders, 61, of Myersville, Md., died Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, at his home.
Born Jan. 12, 1951, in Frederick, Md., he was the son of Raymond and Betty Green Souders of Myersville.
Larry was a member of Pleasant Walk United Methodist Church.
He previously was employed by Kettler Brothers for more than 20 years, and recently retired due to his health from State Wide Builders, where he was a supervisor.
He loved to hunt, fish and find mushrooms.
In addition to his parents, Larry is survived by four children, Tracy Frickle and husband, Jason, of Hedgesville, W.Va., Jamie Souders of Waynesboro, Pa., Jeremy Souders and wife, Tanya, of Cascade, and Brittany Souders of Myersville; four grandchildren, Kendra Souders, Cole Frickle, Blake Souders and Caitlyn Frickle; two sisters and two brothers, Paul "Butch" Souders and wife, Karen of Boonsboro, Robert Souders of Myersville, Sandra Lewis and husband, Gabe, of Smithsburg, and Marlene Stotler and husband, James, of Myersville.
He will be sadly missed by his niece, Pat Stotler; and her fiance, Wayne Geisbert.
Preceding Larry in death was his wife, Sandra M. White Souders, in 2007; and his baby brother, Roy Souders, in 1958.
Funeral services will be Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Ricketts Funeral Home, 504 Main St., Myersville, with the Rev. Jonathan Laye officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Walk United Methodist Cemetery, Myersville.
The family will receive friends Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
