Pa. police departments to host Night Out activities

WAYNESBORO, Pa. — The Waynesboro and Greencastle police departments have released information about their National Night Out activities planned for Tuesday, Aug. 7.

In Greencastle, families can participate in activities at the Jerome King Playground from 6 to 8 p.m. Those activities include the conclusion of the annual scavenger hunt; meet-and-greet opportunities with first responders; exploration of police cruisers, firetrucks and ambulances; a dunking booth; and safety information.

Food will be available by donation to support maintenance of the train station.

Scavenger hunt forms are available at the Greencastle Police Department, Dice Imaging/Fast Signs, Greencastle-Antrim Chamber of Commerce and Hicks Chevrolet.

The Waynesboro Police Department will host a pool party at Northside Pool from 7 to 9:30 p.m.

The Waynesboro Fire Department will grill hot dogs. Dominos Pizza will providepizza.

Bottled water and Antietam Dairy ice cream will be available.

The Waynesboro Ambulance Squad will conduct child seat safety inspections.


LL Dee Jay will provide music, and display booths will have information on drug and crime prevention.
