Family Video is now in downtown Williamsport

New owners Ron and Piyanan Hebb have moved the movie rental business, Family Video, to 1 N. Conococheague St., across the street from Town Hall.
The video store is open Monday through Thursday from noon to 8 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from noon to 9 p.m. They are closed on Sunday.
New movie releases are received on Tuesday. They have several rental packages available, including 4-4-4, or four movies for four days for $4. There is a convenient drop box to return movies when the store is closed.

Martial Arts studio opens
The Hebb Institute of Martial Arts has opened at 5 E. Salisbury St. Owner/instructor Ron Hebb said he uses phase curriculum classes with aspects of the arts of Jeet Kune Do, Kali, Muaythai and Silat.
Classes are held on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 6:45 to 8 p.m. and open to ages 13 and older.

Leitersburg Cinemas invites autistic youth
Leitersburg Cinemas and PRAY, or Providing Relief for Autistic Youth,  has announced the schedule for the showing of upcoming free, sensory-friendly movies:
• “The Smurfs” (rated PG), Tuesday, July 31, at 10 a.m.
• “Puss in Boots” (rated PG), Tuesday, Aug. 7, at 10 a.m.
• “Happy Feet Two” (rated PG), Tuesday, Aug. 14, at 10 a.m.
The auditorium will have the lights up, the sound turned down and audience members are invited to get up and walk around, dance, sing, etc. Anyone on a medical diet, for example GFCF, or gluten-free casein-free, will be allowed to bring their own food and drink.

Alumni volleyball game planned at WHS
All Williamsport High School alumni who played volleyball are invited to participate in a day of fun and help raise money for the Samantha Kelly Memorial Fund. The game is planned for Saturday, Oct. 20, at noon at the Williamsport High School gymnasium.
