Marie Rose Reeder, 78, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away Friday, July 20, 2012, at Meritus Medical Center.
Born Tuesday, July 17, 1934, in Manchester, N.H., she was the daughter of the late Joseph Labonville and the late Rose Proulx Labonville.
She was a dedicated accountant for Travelers Insurance in East Hartford, Conn., for many years. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, where she was leader of the prayer group, and also received a Medal of Honor from the archdiocese for her work with the parish. She was a volunteer at Western Maryland Hospital. She enjoyed cooking, especially soup, and baking, and being able to serve others.
She is survived by sisters-in-law, Charlotte Leggett, Patsy Reeder and Juanita Reeder; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, George Perry Jr.; their son, George Perry III; her second husband of 21 years, Robert L. Reeder; and brother, Lionel Labonville.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, July 27, 2012, at 11 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, 1525 Oak Hill Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742, with the Rev. Michael Jendrek as celebrant.
Family will receive friends at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, Thursday, July 26, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.
