FAIRFAX, Va. — Matthew S. “Matt” Barnhart of Greencastle, Pa., was named to the dean’s list with a 4.0 grade-point average for the spring semester at George Mason University.

Barnhart is a junior in the School of Management. He is majoring in accounting and finance and minoring in economics.

Barnhart is the son of Mary Lou R. Barnhart and the late Steve Barnhart of Greencastle.



FAIRFAX, Va. — Zachary “Zach” Barnhart of Greencastle, Pa., was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at George Mason University.

Barnhart is a junior in the College of Education and Human Development. He is majoring in sports management and minoring in business and sports communication.

Barnhart is the son of Mary Lou R. Barnhart and the late Steve Barnhart of Greencastle.



TOWSON, Md. — Amy Michelle Moore of Keedysville was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Towson University.

Moore is majoring in environmental studies and film.

Moore is a 2011 graduate of Boonsboro High School. She is the daughter of Kevin and Susan Moore. 



WINCHESTER, Va. — Courtney Boschert of Hagerstown was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Shenandoah University.

Boschert is majoring in business administration in the Harry F. Byrd Jr. School of Business.



BLACKSBURG, Va. — Danielle L. Moore of Hagerstown was named to the dean’s list with distinction for the spring semester at Virginia Tech University.

Moore is a 2011 graduate of North Hagerstown High School with an international baccalaureate diploma. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Darryl L. Moore.



ITHACA, N.Y. — Anne Powell of Frederick, Md., was named to the dean’s list for spring semester in the College of Arts and Sciences at Cornell University.



ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The following area students graduated in the spring from the Rochester Institute of Technology:

  • Robert Harris of Middletown, Md., earned an Associate in Science degree in applied liberal arts from RIT’s National Technical Institute for the Deaf.
  • Ashley Speranza of Charles Town, W.Va., earned a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental science from RIT’s College of Science.
  • Noe Turcios of Frederick, Md., earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biotechnology from RIT’s College of Science.



PHILADELPHIA — The following area students were named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at the University of the Sciences:
  • Mackenzie Blair of Clear Spring is a doctor of pharmacy student.
  • Megan Mohadjer Beromi of Mount Airy, Md., is a chemistry student.
  • Elizabeth Matesa of Walkersville, Md., is a physician assistant student.



ST. LOUIS — The following area students were named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Washington University:
  • Alexandra Einhorn of Frederick, Md., graduated May 18 from the university’s College of Arts and Sciences.
  • Rachel Greenberg of Hagerstown graduated May 18 from the university’s College of Arts and Sciences.
  • Seth Wight of Harpers Ferry, W.Va., is enrolled in the university’s College of Arts and Sciences.
