CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. — Tiffany E. Lawrence will join the staff of the United Way of the Eastern Panhandle effective Aug. 20, the agency announced Wednesday.

Lawrence, currently marketing and public relations manager at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races, will become director of resource development and marketing.

She replaces Vicki Shean, who recently relocated to the Eastern Panhandle Free Clinic in a similar position, according to a news release.

Lawrence earned her bachelor’s degree at Shepherd University and her master’s of business administration from Shenandoah University.

Lawrence serves as a member of the West Virginia House of Delegates, and has a lengthy background in public, community and volunteer service.

While at Charles Town Races, she managed community and public relations events and fundraisers, and oversaw the charitable contributions to many local nonprofits, including the United Way and its partner organizations.

Paul Espinosa, chairman of the United Way of the Eastern Panhandle,  said in a news release that the board of directors is excited about Lawrence coming on board.

“We know she will help us move to the next level in aligning our constituents’ volunteer and donor aspirations with the many opportunities inherent in our mission,” Espinosa said in the release.

Peter Mulford, president and chief executive office of the United Way of the Eastern Panhandle, noted that “we certainly expect our greater community, our partners, and most importantly those we all serve to be the beneficiaries of Tiffany’s energy, expertise and passionate engagement as she takes on her role.”
