BOONSBORO — Firefighters from Washington and Frederick counties and Jefferson County, W.Va., were dispatched to a report of a large outdoor fire in the Boonsboro area, a Washington County 911 dispatcher said.
The fire on Reno Monument Road turned out to be a controlled burn that had not been reported to authorities, the dispatcher said.
The units were recalled.
The call came in at approximately 10:40 a.m., the dispatcher said.
