STAR Equestrian center offers riding camps

July 17, 2012

STAR Equestrian therapeutic riding center offers several adventure camps that run from Monday to Friday for those ages 6 to 14.

Each camp has a themed topic, features care practices and riding instruction, creative ways to learn horsemanship, daily “horsey” crafts, water activities and games, and trail rides.

The cost is $250 per week  and runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There is still space available in the remaining theme weeks:

• July 30 to Aug. 3 — Western Riding Week
• Aug. 6 to 10 — English Riding Week

STAR Equestrian has summer staff on hand and accommodates all equine riding skill levels, and has “teacher” horses who help develop the rider.

The center offers programs for both abled and challenged riders and helps individuals of all ages reach goals that might not have otherwise been achieved.

The center is at 13674 Greencastle Pike in Hagerstown.
