Enjoy good entertainment and value at the Playhouse

To the editor:

Since being honored by Loretta and Jeff Czerbinski by having the stage at The Washington County Playhouse named for me (Donald L. Spickler stage), I have been considering how to adequately thank them for their kind action. Perhaps the best way is to encourage everyone to patronize the Playhouse.

We first became involved with the Playhouse when we were bringing the Annual Meeting of the North East Region of the National Association of Conservation Districts to Hagerstown.

Before the meeting was held, Hagerman’s went out of business and the new owners, Don Wiswell and Bruce Levin provided our group with a superb performance of “The Fantasticks.” Our first encounter with the theater was such a success that we became patrons for most of the ensuing 28 years. We have been privileged to be part of a “theater family” that has grown, changed, matured and entertained this community for almost three decades. Our thanks to all the owners, actresses, actors, costumers, set designers, artists and all who have given their time and talent to make the Playhouse a success.

The Washington County Playhouse is the premier dinner theater in the area. Here we find good food, excellent performances and that “theater family” we have grown to know and love over the years.

Thanks again to Jeff and Loretta for the honor, as well as Dixie and Kelley, Don and Bruce for providing good food, excellent entertainment and good fellowship for the past 28 years. We encourage you to patronize the Washington County Playhouse. If you are a patron please take some friends. If you are looking for a new experience in dining and entertainment at a reasonable price, look to the Playhouse. As you are personally escorted to your table be sure to heed the advice that is always offered, “Watch your step as you cross the stage.”
