Pa. police: Man’s death on turnpike ruled a suicide
McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. — A Carbon County, Pa., man’s death was ruled a suicide after police found him in his pickup on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Fulton County.
The 37-year-old Palmerton, Pa., man was pronounced dead at the scene by Fulton County Coroner Berley Souders, Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release.
His cause of death was ruled as respiratory failure by carbon monoxide poisoning, police said.
The man was traveling west on the turnpike and apparently pulled his 1997 Chevrolet S-10 pickup off the road in Dublin Township, police said.
His truck was discovered by police at 6:30 a.m. Monday, according to the state police news release.
Cash, coins and antique jewelry stolen in Pa.
GREENCASTLE, Pa. —Pennsylvania State Police are looking for a person who burglarized two homes Tuesday on Grindstone Hill Road in Antrim Township.
The burglaries occurred at two homes on Grindstone Hill Road sometime between 8:15 a.m. and 7:05 p.m., police said.
The robber entered the first residence through a rear window and stole approximately $500 in currency and another $1,000 in antique U.S. coins, police said. The subject also stole a pillow case off the victim’s bed.
From there, the robber entered the second residence through an unlocked front door and again took a pillow case as well as various pieces of jewelry and a small wooden shaped jewelry box valued at approximately $110 before fleeing in an unknown direction, police said.

Pa. man hurt in crash
MERCERSBURG, Pa. — A Mercersburg man was seriously injured after a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon on Pa. 16 near Christy Road in Mercersburg, Pennsylvania State Police said.
Steven E. Miller, 61, was transported by ambulance to Waynesboro (Pa.) Hospital after the wreck, which also caused minor injuries to Jeffrey A. Dunkle, 30, of Chambersburg, police said.
Police said Dunkle, driving a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, was eastbound on Pa. 16, three cars behind Miller, who was attempting to make a left-hand turn into his driveway.
At that time, Dunkle pulled out and tried to pass all three vehicles and struck the driver’s side door of Miller’s 2006 Dodge Ram 3500, police said.
Dunkle was charged with careless driving, police said.
