11-12 tourney: Conococheague takes extra time to down Hancock

HANCOCK — Ryan Greene and Jauston Itnyre each had RBI singles in the seventh inning on Sunday to lead Conococheague to a 16-14 losers’ bracket victory over Hancock in the completion of a game that was halted by darkness on Saturday.

With the victory, Conococheague travels to meet Sharpsburg Monday at 6 p.m.

Dalton Blundell led off with a walk in the seventh and advanced on a passed ball before scoring on Greene’s hit. Greene scored on Itnyre’s single.

Blake Gooden, who pitched the sixth for Conococheague on Saturday, returned to pitch the seventh and retired Hancock in order to seal the victory.
