2. Footsteps of history

The Battle of Sharpsburg Camp No. 1582, Sons of Confederate Veterans, will host a tour of the "Battle of Hagerstown" with historian Stephen Bockmiller, pictured, at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 11. 4. Celebration of music

Festival Celebration Orchestra will perform with violinist Sarah Chang at 8 p.m. Thursday, July 12, at Shippensburg University's H. Ric Luhrs Performing Arts Center, 1871 Old Main Drive, Shippensburg, Pa.  Chang will perform selections inspired by iconic American songs, movies, composers and performers. 8 p.m. Tickets cost $18 to $40. 5. The Band of the Nation's Capital


The 257th Army Band will perform at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 12 at Waynesboro Area Senior High School, 550 E. Second St., Waynesboro, Pa.; and 6:30 p.m. Friday, July 13, at Hagerstown Community College Amphitheater, 11400 Robinwood Drive, east of Hagerstown. Both concerts are free.
