Bankes had perfect attendance for 12 years

Emily-Jean Bankes, a 2012 graduate of Highland View Academy, was recognized for completing 12 years of school with perfect attendance.

She is the daughter of Beth and Howard Bankes.

She will attend Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Mich.

She was presented with a certificate and a gift at graduation by Carole Smith, superintendent of schools for Chesapeake Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.  Emily-Jean graduated with four years on the principal’s list with a grade-point average of  4.06.

She was a member of the National Honor Society, the yearbook staff and choir. She participated in a mission trip to Honduras and worked as a reader for the science department. She has also won ribbons for the quilts she has made.
