CANTON, N.Y. — John B. Hicks of Frederick, Md., was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at St. Lawrence University. 

Hicks, a member of the Class of 2015, graduated from Frederick High School.


GETTYSBURG, Pa — The following area students were named to the dean’s commendation list for the spring semester at Gettysburg College. Students with a quality-point average of 3.33 or higher for a semester’s work are placed on the list:

HAMDEN, Conn. — Danielle Riley of Frederick was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Quinnipiac University.


ITHACA, N.Y. — The following area students received degrees from Ithaca College in May:
  • Eleanor Eckel of Frederick received a degree from the college’s School of Humanities and Sciences with a major in politics.
  • Shaun Baldwin of Walkersville, Md., received a degree from the college’s School of Health Sciences and Human Performance with a major in clinical health studies.


BURLINGTON, Vt. — The following area students were named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at the University of Vermont:
  • Laurie G. Lesage of Emmitsburg, Md., a senior majoring in animal sciences in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences
  • Michael C. Barbour of Frederick, a senior majoring in mechanical engineering in the College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences


SCRANTON, Pa. — The following area students were named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at the University of Scranton:
  • Sara Franciscovich of Frederick, a sophomore early and primary teacher education major in the Panuska College of Professional Studies
  • Carolyn Gillespie of New Market, Md., a senior exercise science major in the Panuska College of Professional Studies


LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Bellarmine University named New Market, Md., resident Rachael Ashton to the dean’s list for the spring semester.
