Principals named at Spring Mills Middle and Inwood Primary schools

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — The Berkeley County Board of Education approved the appointment of new principals at Spring Mills Middle and Inwood Primary schools Monday night.

Nancy B. White was named principal of Spring Mills Middle School and Autumne Frye was named principal at Inwood Primary School.

White previously served as assistant principal at the Spring Mills school and Frye was assistant principal at Berkeley Heights Elementary School in Martinsburg, according to the school district.

In other personnel actions Monday, the school board changed Donald Mitchell’s assignment from director to executive director of the maintenance department and Ronald Stephens assignment from executive director of pupil services to associate superintendent.

Superintendent Manny P. Arvon said both personnel moves come with a pay increase. Based on their job performance, Arvon said Stephens and Mitchell deserve the respective pay increases of about $1,300 and $2,500 per year.

The board also formally approved the change of Donald Dellinger’s job title to Deputy Superintendent and Margaret Kursey’s job title to Assistant Superintendent of Instruction.

Arvon said no pay increase were attached to the job title changes.
