Morning MoJo report - July 2

Here is the Morning MoJo Report for Monday, July 2:

* As of 7 a.m., traffic was a little sluggish on I-495 westbound, but it is running fine on all the other interstates throughout the area.

* There were major delays on the MARC Train, according to the Maryland Transit Administration website, mta.maryland.gov. Due to the weekend's thunderstorms, there is no power at the Martinsburg station. Train 874, departing Martinsburg at 5:25 a.m., was operating 63 minutes late departing Harpers Ferry. Also, due to power outages and signal problems all Brunswick Line Trains are expected to operate 10 to 45 minutes late. Train 890, the 5:12 a.m. Frederick departure, was operating 14 minutes late approaching the Silver Spring Metro Station. Train 872, the 5:38 a.m. Brunswick departure, was operating 26 minutes late approaching Silver Spring Metro Station. All reports were as of 7 a.m.

* The Light Rail, Commuter Buses, local bus services, the Metro Subway system, and the Mobility service were all running on time and operating on their regular schedules, according to the MTA website.

* The weather today is expected to be mostly sunny with a high near 91 and wind between 7 and 11 miles per hour, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight, it's expected to be partly cloudy with a low around 65 degrees and wind around 5 mph.

* West Memorial Boulevard is closed between South Potomac Street and Maryland Avenue due to storm water there from heavy rains in late May, according to a traffic advisory from the City of Hagerstown's website. The road will remain closed until the water recedes.

* Ernstville Road in the Big Pool area is closed for approximately three more weeks for a drainage improvement project, according to a press release from the Washington County website.

* The Longmeadow Road-Marsh Pike intersection is still undergoing an improvement project. Workers are assisting traffic when needed at the intersection.
