Hilda Lee Fink, 80, of Leitersburg, Md., and formerly of Smithsburg, Md., passed away Thursday, June 28, 2012, at Meritus Medical Center near Hagerstown.

Born March 22, 1932, in Hancock, Md., she was the daughter of the late Amos E. and Margaret (Lepley) Flowers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William D. “Bill” Fink, on Aug. 21, 1999.

She was employed by Hagerstown Book Binding Co. and Vogue Cleaners of Hagerstown.

Her hobbies included crocheting, puzzles, traveling, reading and spending time with her family.

She is survived by two daughters, Cathy L. McFerren and Virginia M. Pearson, both of Waynesboro; one son, Donald L. Fink of Gaithersburg, Md.; one sister, Mabel Gladhill of Michigan; three brothers James Flowers of Arizona, William Flowers of North Carolina and Harold Flowers of Michigan; two grandsons, Ryan and Robert; one great-granddaughter, Katerena; and one great-great-granddaughter, Keria.

She was preceded in death by an infant sister; and one brother, Donald Flowers.

Services will be Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at 2 p.m. at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, Md., with Pastor Virgil Cain officiating. Burial will be in Smithsburg Cemetery.


The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, which will open at 8 a.m.
